Vision
Throughout the Bible God’s expectation for us is to reproduce. Jesus was on earth for 33 years and his ministry lasted only three years. At the end of his ministry, there were only a few hundred followers. In today’s ministry perspective that would be considered a struggling ministry or even a failure. Jesus had a World Vision and wanted all people in the world to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth (John 4:42). Jesus planned to win, never losing sight of his objective. He knew that he had limited time and energy on earth in human form. The method Jesus used was people. He used people who would be like him, multiplying generations of disciples that would reach the world. Everything Jesus lived modeled and spoke was in the context of raising up a few people that are like him to reach the masses in becoming like him. Disciples are not born they are made.[1] The focus of the local church and Christian communities is to make disciples as Jesus did. He provided a model and a method for everyone in how to make disciples.[2]
